K-WAY® JOINS LEONARDO FIORAVANTI IN PENICHE
A branded truck becomes a hub for the surf community
at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal
PENICHE, PORTUGAL, October 2026 – K-Way® is heading to Peniche for the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, the tenth stop of the 2026 World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour, with a dedicated activation alongside its ambassador Leonardo Fioravanti. From 16 to 18 October, a branded K-Way® truck will serve as a meeting point for the surfing community, bringing together fans, friends of the brand and members of the press during the circuit’s only European event and first post-season stop.
Held on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal attracts surfers, fans and media from around the world each year. For K-Way®, Peniche offers a fitting backdrop for the brand’s connection with surfing: a place where wind, shifting sea conditions and a spirit of adventure shape everyday life. It is an environment that reflects the brand’s values, from freedom of movement to an instinctive ability to adapt to the elements.
At the heart of the activation, the K-Way® truck will host a series of opportunities to connect with Fioravanti, including interviews, fan meet-and-greets, photographs and autograph sessions. Visitors will also be able to discover Summer Breeze, the capsule collection developed in collaboration with the Italian surfer, alongside Le Vrai, K-Way®’s iconic jacket, designed to provide protection from wind and rain while allowing complete freedom of movement.
The activation builds on a partnership that has brought together K-Way® and Fioravanti since 2023, united by a shared outlook that extends beyond sport. The first Italian surfer to win a WSL Championship Tour event, Fioravanti has become a leading figure in Italian surfing, helping to raise the sport’s profile on the international stage. His career reflects a deep understanding of the sea and an ability to respond to its ever-changing conditions, qualities that align closely with K-Way®’s own philosophy.
Founded in Paris in 1965, K-Way® was born from a simple yet innovative idea: creating a lightweight, packable jacket that protects against wind and rain without restricting movement. This same spirit of adaptability and openness to the unexpected resonates with surfing, a discipline shaped by the constant evolution of the natural environment.
Through its presence in Peniche, K-Way® continues to develop its relationship with the surfing world, working alongside its ambassador and connecting with a community that shares its passion for the sea and an active, adventurous way of life.
