The circle is complete: Paris, the final stop of In Y/Our Life.
K-Way® Celebrates 60 Years with the Final Stop of the “In Y/Our Life” Exhibition in Paris
Paris, 1965. On a rainy day, Léon-Claude Duhamel watched people struggle with bulky umbrellas — and imagined something better: a lightweight, waterproof, and stylish jacket. That moment gave birth to K-Way®, an icon that made rainy days practical and fashionable.
Sixty years later, the In Y/Our Life exhibition travels from Milan and London to its birthplace — Paris. From October 23 to 26, 2025, during Art Basel Week, Atelier Richelieu opens its doors to 700 m² of art, design, and K-Way® history.
Curated by Gianluigi Ricuperati, In Y/Our Life is a multidisciplinary and poetic narrative exploring everyday life through iconic objects and collaborations with international artists and cultural brands including Bic®, Borotalco®, Borsalino®, Chupa Chups®, Moka-Bialetti®, Moleskine®, Moon Boot®, Pongo®, Polaroid®, Post-it®, Rollerblades®, and Scotch™.
The Exhibition Journey:
Zone 1 – Archive
A journey through 60 years of K-Way® history, from the very first rainproof jackets to contemporary icons and creative collaborations. This area highlights the brand’s constant evolution — innovation, functionality, and timeless design that have shaped generations.
Zone 2 – The Artists’ Rooms
Installations and artworks by international talents including Patricia Urquiola, Olimpia Zagnoli, and Nadine Fecht. Interactive murals, poetic interventions, and visual storytelling connect art, culture, and personal memory, reinterpreting the essence of the K-Way® spirit through creativity and color.
Zone 3 – Sarah Andelman & Anrealage
A special contribution by Sarah Andelman, founder of Just an Idea and former Creative Director at Colette, and Anrealage, the visionary Japanese fashion brand. Together, they transform the Le Vrai jacket through futuristic LED interventions — an exploration of light, movement, and individuality. (Sarah Andelman will be present on Sunday, October 26.)
Zone 4 – Café K-Way
The vibrant social heart of the exhibition — a Parisian-style café where visitors can relax, connect, and enjoy food and drinks surrounded by the brand’s signature colors. Café K-Way becomes a meeting point for artists, creatives, and the international art community.
Zone 5 – Workshops & Customization Zone
A creative space dedicated to self-expression. Visitors are invited to personalize the iconic Le Vrai jacket, celebrating K-Way®’s spirit of individuality. Outside, Rollerblade® skaters extend the exhibition’s energy into the streets of Paris, symbolizing movement, freedom, and playfulness.
Zone 6 – Merchandise & Anniversary Book
The book “K-WAY: Six Décennies de Style et d’Innovation” traces six decades of brand history. Alongside it, a curated selection of co-branded merchandise offers visitors the chance to take home a piece of this anniversary celebration.
With workshops, customization of the iconic Le Vrai jacket, and a vibrant Café K-Way, this is a celebration of 60 years of innovation, style, and shared memories. In Y/Our Life is an ode to the everyday — ever surprising, where art, fashion, and emotion come together.
