Milan Fashion Week 2025/2026: K-Way® presents the R&D FW25 collection at Museo della Permanente

The brand celebrates its first sixty years with a runway show that is a tribute to the ultimate rain jacket

Milan, February 25th 2025 – Sixty years of history, innovation, and style. K-Way® celebrates its anniversary during Milan Fashion Week, presenting, among other initiatives, a global multicultural exhibition, with its first stop scheduled for February 25th. This milestone finds its perfect setting at the Museo della Permanente in Milan, transformed for the occasion into a space where art and fashion engage in a bold and sophisticated dialogue. Here, at 7 PM, the co-ed runway show of the R&D FW2025 collection will take place, a tribute to the brand's roots, its pioneering spirit, and its timeless icon: the rain jacket.

Looking to the future while never losing sight of the past: this is the philosophy that guides K-Way® in celebrating its anniversary. The installation, curated by internationally renowned artist Agostino Iacurci, envelops the new collection and transforms the spaces of the Museo della Permanente into a poetic universe recalling K-Way®'s distinctive elements: rain and wind.

The anniversary becomes the perfect occasion to rediscover the archives and pay homage to the visionary garment that gave birth to everything. The starting point can only be the Le Vrai, the rain jacket that has protected generations since 1965. In the FW25 collection, the Le Vrai is not only an iconic garment but a true source of inspiration, from which a line emerges that expands its boundaries, reinterpreting it through pieces with modern and bold designs. The shell outerwear pieces thus take center stage once again, guardians of the essence from which it all began. Clean lines, free from bulky padding, tell of an aesthetic that responds to the needs of moderately cold temperatures, with looks where the key word is once again layering. In some pieces, the shell is enhanced with an inner layer of wool jersey, ensuring greater warmth. Among them, the cape model stands out, emblematic of the collection's modus operandi: a garment that, while conceptually recalling the legendary Le Vrai – originally conceived as a cape – reinvents itself with a modern design and functionality that completely redefines its role.

The homage to the origins also translates into an immediate chromatic celebration. The K-Way® runway vibrates with energy as iconic colors – blue, yellow, orange – blend with more sophisticated shades, such as burgundy, forming a palette that honors the vitality of the brand. Here, color is not just a detail, but the beating heart of a collection that speaks with boldness and optimism. Just like the iconic tricolor zipper, which becomes a thread that runs through the collection: not only functional but reinterpreted as a decorative element. Then there’s the innovation that has cemented K-Way® as an icon of versatility – the practicality of being folded into its hidden internal pocket – now revived as an aesthetic inspiration in unmistakable external pockets, transformed into visible and distinctive details.

The FW25 collection goes beyond outerwear. Lightness, practicality, and dynamism bring iconic looks to life, curated by stylist Elena Tejedor, which once again highlight the power of layering. Soft knitwear, wool and nylon skirts playing with material contrasts, elegant-cut cargo pants, and Scuba dresses that gracefully enhance the figure. The silhouette explores classic shapes but reinvents them with a contemporary, refined touch, presenting a modern and dynamic femininity.

Some garments also challenge conventions, such as the padded body in gathered fabric, adding an element of surprise and freshness to a collection that balances innovation and tradition.

To complete the collection, a capsule collaboration with CAHU resulted in bags made of PVC – the statement material of the Parisian brand – and the iconic nylon of the Le Vrai 4.0. The play of material contrasts, essential and functional design, and a vibrant color palette have transformed each piece into an accessory that perfectly reflects the spirit of both brands.

A continuous dialogue between what was and what will be, where the past is never a limitation but a foundation on which to build. K-Way®'s future does not rewrite its history; it enriches it, reinterpreting it with savoir-faire, projecting it toward new horizons with the same innovative spirit that made it an icon.

Many familiar faces didn’t want to miss K-Way’s show. Among the attendees, we spotted Marta Sierra, Ed Westwick, K-pop star Shownu, and many more.
