K-WAY RUNWAY COLLECTION | FW24/25

THE NEW R&D COLLECTION

Earlier this year, during Men's Milan Fashion Week, K-Way® unveiled the FW24/25 collection of the R&D line at BasicVillage Milan. The ground floor of BasicNet Group’s Milan headquarters transformeed into a white space, interrupted by installations from artist Anna Franceschini. Colorful silhouettes in the technical fabrics of LeVrai 3.0 jackets flutter to the rhythm of music. A meticulous analysis of shapes and materials has led to innovative geometries embodying the value of the classic.

The collection marks a revival of femininity, retaining its classic forms. Volumes are carefully measured, and the precise lines of the jackets reveal sleek silhouettes in colors such as blue-black, military green, light gray, red, and blue. The EcoFurs, reexamined through a sustainable lens, line the padded jackets and combine with the snug fit of the trilayer Bonded fabric, which is elastic, waterproof, yet soft and elegant.

The Le Vrai 3.0 technical fabric raincoats remain a constant in the collection; they envelop like a skirt or flutter from weekender-style bags available in three sizes. The Claude, a packable windbreaker, steals the show by expanding Le Vrai 3.0 into avant-garde shapes. The three-color zipper, a K-Way® symbol, adorns coats, tops, skirts, and trousers with elongated lines, emphasized by geometric quilting that extends to accessories. Scuba, warm and flexible, composes tops, skirts, and trousers reminiscent of K-Way®’s sportiness.

Smooth velvet bombers, a blend of silk and viscose, alternate with regular-fit jackets and coats: wool makes a comeback, in line with the outdoor spirit of the quintessential rainwear brand. Breathable and waterproof, in solid colors or with the sobriety of pinstripes, extending even to trousers and Bermuda shorts with central pleats. The strict lines are enhanced with detailed finishes. The zipped neck-warmer hoods are quilted, as are the bodices and gaiters, protecting laced leather boots and slingback pumps.

Materials are carefully reconsidered for style and sustainability, thanks to a continuous research process always prioritized by K-Way®. Among the brand’s commitments is the increasing use of recovered or responsibly sourced materials, ensuring durability and high quality.

Layering remains the key concept: the invitation is to experiment with lines, colors, and materials to achieve innovative yet always functional looks.

K-Way® unveils the FW 26/27 ski collection in the heart of Milan
The mountains are an integral part of K-Way®’s history—a territory the brand has experienced and interpreted over time, translating its demands into technical and functional solutions designed to face the elements. Born as a symbol of protection from the rain, in the 1970s K-Way® broadened its horizons by entering the world of alpine skiing, developing high-performance garments and becoming the official sponsor of the French national team. This journey reached its peak in 1992, when at the Albertville Winter Olympics the brand outfitted the athletes of the French National Team, establishing itself on the international sports scene as well.
